My life story is the story of the Filipino Diaspora, my roots entwined between two worlds and two cultures which couldn’t be more opposite of one another: the Philippines and Germany. I have always two tales to tell because I am in essence bi-cultural – Imborn to a German father and Pinay mother, a product of the East and West, carrying with me the values of Asia and Europe, the practicality and temperance of Germans but the warm-heartedness and Pakikipag-kapuwa of Pinoys.

My Biculturalism gifted me a unique mindset with empowered and inspired my chosen path as I grew older. My travel through life was not easy, since I had to find the middle way from two contrasting cultures and mindsets. I have learned on both the schools and streets of Germany and Manila, sought my fortune and life and love in both countries, won and lost and won again in both countries, matured and learned and grew wise in both countries. I know poverty and I know success, I have met all the types of people that you could imagine in my decades of experience on both continents. I found the love of my life in the Philippines and now I am raising my family in Germany. I sought the Good Life and finally found it in service of others. Your happiness is what makes me sleep well at night. Both countries have blessed me immensely and I have chose to give back through our company, Transcura.

Transcura is more than an manpower agency in Germany empowering Nurses in Germany to be the best nurses that they can be. Transcura was my dream to be of service to Filipino nurses at first, and now to all nurses in Germany. Our company is more than a great team of career job specialists who guide nurses to the best jobs and the best employers. That is our mission statement yes, but in the heart of it all, Transcura builds Dreams. We help nurses find good jobs in peaceful and beautiful communities, we help families find a loving home in the best environment that they could want. Their achievements are my achievement. Their happiness is my happiness. When our Transcura nurses attain their achievements, we celebrate their victories. When they face challenges and tragedy, we are there to lend a hand and more than a hand, our Filipino network – the heart of the Filipino Community – will always be there.

Our Transcura community and our company will expand and evolve to face the shifting dynamics of the coming years. We are setting our sights to expand our nursing job portfolios into several areas that we are critically looking into and will announce when our timetables are aligned. I am sharing this so you would know that we are all the same. I dared to dream too. 40 years ago, I would never imagine to be where I am today. Can your past selves from 7 or 6 years ago imagine where you are today? If there is one lesson that you would remember from me , is that thoughts shape our reality.
